Macdonald Hotels and Resorts own and operate Hotels and Holiday Resorts in the UK and Spain. They are the main subsidiary of Macdonald Hotels Ltd, a hospitality company based in West Lothian, Scotland.
We were requested by Macdonald Hotels to assist them with all aspects of their Accessibility and Fire Evacuation needs. This was in order for them to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (now known as the Equalities Act) in all of their Hotels.
We completed full surveys to establish which equipment was required, after which we provided a detailed proposal to supply and install all of the equipment needed. This included Assisted Hearing Systems at customer reception points and in meeting rooms, Fire Evacuation products and Access Equipment for bedrooms, including wireless bedroom and toilet Alarm Pull Chord Systems.
After the work was completed they were able to evacuate both clients and staff safely in the event of an emergency and provide complete access to all guests visiting the Hotel.
