The app, available on Android Devices, is a Free download (below) and easy to install, and join an Existing Fire SMS Installation on one of the sites.
Unlike pager systems, FIRE SMS allows deaf or hard of hearing people to use what they already have with them, a mobile phone, as you will be notified of fire alarms and emergencies via SMS, even if you’re not connected to the internet.
The Fire SMS Alert App is a mobile app that sends text messages (SMS) to your phone whenever a fire alarm sounds or an emergency occurs. The app is easy to use and set up. Simply download the app and register your phone number. Then, select the buildings or locations that you want to receive alerts for.
When a fire alarm sounds or an emergency occurs at one of your registered locations, the Fire SMS Alert App will send you a text message immediately. The text message will include the name and address of the location, as well as the date and time of the alert.

Simple to use and operate
The user becomes connected to FIRE SMS by texting their mobile number to the system’s number displayed at the entrance to the building; they will receive a confirmation text confirming that the user is now registered under that location and will be sent a text when the fire alarm sounds.
